School Enterprise Challenge [2011]

Supporting Enterprise amongst young people forms a large part of InspirEngage’s activities and services. In mid December, InspirEngage was invited to encourage students to think in creative ways by mentoring them in the developmental stages. The students then pitched their enterprises to a Dragons’ Den style panel (which Melody Hossaini sat on as head judge).

“I thought that the day gave me a great insight into the world of work. I relished the opportunity to be involved in the Dragon’s Den challenge in particular. It was great as we worked well as a team and won the challenge. Melody was very approachable and gave encouraging feedback at the end of the day, which motivated us further.”
Jae Marple, Adam Peel-Green and Jenny Lago. Age 16.

“The day was brilliant; we had the opportunity to improve our teamwork and presentation skills. Melody was very inspiring.”
Olivia Saunders, age 15.

“The day went well and I enjoyed the tasks. I liked the fact that Melody came around and talked to everyone and took an interest in what we were doing.”
Sharna Coley, age 16
